“This current cycle is great.  Lots of veneers!  Two big cases – pre-paid.  So, we’re ahead of schedule for being on track for this cycle.  We have more new patients coming in too, which is always helpful.  May tends to be a tougher month for us – end of school – but it’s going better than we expected.  We always talk about next year’s calendar in June and we finalize our days off by the end of July.  So, that’s when we’ll talk, as a group, about the cycles for next year.  Benjy and I have discussed cutting back to 14 day cycles, but keeping our goals the same as they are now.”

Dr. Venssa Knight “Best of State” Finalist!

Dr. Venssa Knight of Park City, UT was recently selected as a finalist in the annual “Best of State” competition for Utah. Candidates for this award are selected by a panel of judges, and their decision is based on the candidate’s personal and professional achievements, innovation in their field, and involvement in community and civic activities. The “Best of State” awards will be presented May 29th at the Grand Ballroom of the Salt Palace Convention Center.

The Brady’s Are Proud Grandparents, Again!

Dr. Brady’s daughter, Stephanie Jacobs, gave birth to a precious baby boy Boyd Larsen Jacobs, 7 lbs., 2 oz., on Sunday, May 23, 2010.  Dr. Brady received a text message while in church alerting the family that his grandson would indeed make his debut into the world within hours. Stephanie and Daniel of Parker, CO are on cloud nine as are the entire Brady clan. Mom and baby are doing well.

Aly Sergie Named New Dentist of The Year.

Congratulations to one of our newest members, Dr. Aly Sergie of Dallas, TX.  Dr. Sergie was awarded “New Dentist of The Year” by the Dallas County Dental Society.

“Dr. Brady, Just a quick note to tell you thank you for your constant up beat, positive, view!  Dr. Mark Uremovich and Dr. Shawn O’ Berry did something extra special for their staff right before Mother’s Day and I thought I would share.
Two of our staff members became Mother’s recently.  So the entire staff are now Mother’s. They gave us each a vase full of beautiful flowers!  The vase had, tulips, roses, and even Bamboo that would continue to grow delivered to the office right before Mother’s Day.  It was a lovely, wonderful surprise.  I think we all felt very appreciated!”

“Role Playing Really Does Help.”

“I really enjoyed the meeting last Wednesday with Dr Brady, it was the swift kick I needed to get me back on track.  It was great to review why we are doing all this for the patients, to get them what they want.  I know we need to get back to basics, role play!!!!  Dr Unser and I did a role play in am meeting on Monday when I hand off to him, and we got one planning appointment and a future planning appt. Role playing really does help!!!! We had a great day. Lots of diagnosis, took pictures, asked lots of questions. I know I have gotten comfortable and I stepped out of my comfort zone both Thursday and Monday.”

Welcome Jacksonville Beach Cosmetic Dentist – Eric M. Burgess D.M.D.

Dr. Eric Burgess is a Jacksonville, FL native who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and his D.M.D. Degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1996.

Dr. Burgess has received advanced training in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and TMJ treatment. He’s a founding member of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, achieved fellowships in both the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and alumnus of both the Misch Implant Institute and Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. Dr. Burgess is also a sustaining member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), having passed a rigorous examination and educational requirements. His memberships include Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of Laser Dentistry, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, Academy of Computerized Dentistry, the AACD, and the ICOI.
Dr. Burgess has been married since 1991 to Nancy,who doubles as the office manager, and resides in the Ponte Vedra Beach community. They have a son, Eli, born in 2000, and daughter Ella, born 2002. In his spare time, Dr. Burgess enjoys boating, water sports, in-line skating, running, scuba diving, and quality time with his family.
